MUNCIE NAACP YOUTH COUNCIL

The NAACP Muncie Youth Council is where the next generation of leaders and freedom fighters are made.  The mission of the NAACP Youth & College Division is to inform youth of the problems affecting African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities and to advance their economic, education, social and political status, and their harmonious cooperation with other peoples.  The NAACP Youth and College Division is supporting the development of future civil rights leaders today. Resources for unit health and training advancement are available for Youth and College member units across the country. Everything from quarterly reports, compliance checklists, directory lists, trainings and elections material.  The NAACP Muncie Youth Council is for ages 0-25.   The purpose of the NAACP Muncie Youth Council is to provide:

  • Leadership and Activism Training

  • Proactive Political and Community Activism 

  • Public Awareness and the Necessity of Youth Involvement

  • Financial Literacy

  • Job Training and Resources

  • College Prep

​

The NAACP Muncie Youth Council holds meetings every 3rd Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Muncie YWCA, 310 E. Charles Street, Muncie, Indiana 47305.   Interested in the Youth Council? Send us an email to naacpmunciebranch@gmail.com. Youth memberships are only $10.
